Grupo Cabo Mar began more than 10 years ago when owner Juan Bejarano opened the Cabo Mar Fish Market in Cabo San Lucas.

Since then, the family owned business has grown to include Cabo Mar Fish Market, La Perla Negra Seafood Restaurant and Perla Negra Sport Fishing. Charters.

Juan, who also captains the Perla Negra fishing boat, is a trained marine biologist, who loves the ocean.

Married with five children, Juan originally set out to build the biggest and cleanest fish market in Baja California.

"I like to do things differently," he says. "We installed a 50-ton, underground freezer system, and there's nothing else like it in Baja."

Other fish market owners regularly come to Juan for consulting in the set-up and operation of a fish market.
